Meet Mr. J., a grade school librarian. Over the years, many students came through the halls of this particular school and they all adored Mr. J. He had a way with children by knowing each student by his/her name and making all of them feel special. It was not unusual to walk past the library and see a group of students huddled around his desk sharing their day with him. Mr. J. was not only the school Librarian, but also the leader of an esteemed organization called the “6th Grade Student Council.” In order to belong to this group, the then 5th grade students had to be on the honor roll, be recommended by a past or current teacher, and write an essay on why they wanted to be on the Student Council. Only after they had satisfied these requirements, they needed to pass somewhat of an adult-like interview. All of the students took this entire process very seriously. Unfortunately through this process some were eliminated, but the ones chosen had mustered up to the challenge. The decision was tough this year because these 5th graders were an exceptional group and have been ever since starting Kindergarten. Mr. J. actually added 6 more students to the Council because of the extraordinary group that wanted to join. When the final 18 students were chosen they were so excited, not only to be on Student Council, but also to be working so closely with Mr. J. The last day of school has its own special feelings but this was also the day that the current Council would be introducing the next years Council. Before school, Mr. J. had a special meeting with the up and coming group. Of course they did not know that he had always had a yearning to work in a high-school library. Well, that time had come, his dream was coming true. He had applied for and been offered the job at a local high school. He had just found out himself and now had to tell his group of Council members the news. Immediately tears started flowing; tears of sadness and disbelief. They had waited all these years to be able to work with him and now he was leaving them! When the assembly began soon after school started it was time to pass on the Student Council torch. As the Council students filed in with their red eyes and sat down, word spread like wildfire, “Mr. J. was LEAVING?!?!” More tears were now added to the mix. On one hand Mr. J. was happy that he was following his dreams. However to the students, needless to say, they were crushed. After that short day of school many students stayed behind to say their last good-byes to Mr. J. It appears that Mr. J. went far beyond the call of duty in teaching the students about the real world. From a logical and metaphysical standpoint, when people are in an emotional whirlwind they cannot see the lesson being taught. When I first heard this story, through the teary eyes of a 5th grader I started to think of this as a lesson in Letting Go. I see that this small group of kids is being taught a life lesson about Letting Go and allowing someone to follow their path. The close-knit group of students, so looking forward to the following year, will hopefully someday look back at this experience and add it to their bag of lessons to help them along as adults. Letting Go comes in all sizes and shapes and colors. And sometimes it may appear that we are not aware of what we are Letting Go of until we have actually done it. When we let go of people, situations, and the arrogance of material then we allow ourselves to grow, logically and spiritually. Some of you may have guessed it by now, but I am the observer and it was my daughter who was one in the small group of students. I hope that some day she can get past her tears and see this adventure for what it was–a lesson in Letting Go. © Tony Masiello 2006

Chewing Tobacco – How To Stop The Addiction
If you think smokeless tobacco is “up to snuff” and harmless, think again. Whatever you like to call it – spitting, dipping or chewing – it is every bit as harmful as smoking. The majority of medical researchers judge more so because users are not as aware of the threats. Cancers of the lips, mouth, tongue and throat can swiftly grow in people who use smokeless tobacco and cause grotesque and debilitating – even deadly – results. Even with the painful and dangerous consequences of smokeless tobacco, quitting with usual methods is very demanding. Many people think the reason lies in nicotine, a natural, super toxic chemical found in tobacco that is the plant’s guard against being eaten by bugs. Analyzing equal quantities, nicotine is more deadly than snake venom or strychnine, and three times deadlier than arsenic. When dipping, the nicotine makes its way to the brain in under 10 seconds, where it creates a flood of dopamine, which brings about a relaxing sensation. Nicotine also increases adrenaline production, so it both energizes and calms. However, the psychological element of smokeless tobacco addiction is much stronger and creates far more impediments to quitting smokeless tobacco than nicotine. Many users took their first dip as young as nine years old. In as little as a few months, using smokeless tobacco becomes an ingrained habit that produces reliable stress relief. In addition to the psychological conditioning, a social conditioning takes place, as images of many sports celebrities dipping also attract young users. Knowing that there are individual emotional and physical issues that contribute to a chewing habit makes it easier to create a plan to overcome smokeless tobacco addiction. Let’s look at each component separately and look at effective methods to curb them. Dipping for Relaxation and Pleasure: Just like using a pacifier to soothe an anxious infant, over the course of time, people who use tobacco products begin to associate putting an object in their mouths with satisfaction and relaxation. Curbing the effects of tobacco usage involves addressing all facets of the addiction. Tobacco Dipping is a Conditioned Response: The classic case in point of a conditioned response relates to Pavlov and his dogs, which were trained to anticipate food – and thus began salivating – when a bell was rung. In relation, if, for example, you always chew tobacco after each meal, you will consequently develop a craving to chew when you get finished eating. In your mind, the images of pushing the plate away and laying down your napkin may be connected to using snuff, even if you are not conscious of it. Becoming aware of the situations or trigger images can help you defeat cravings. The Physical Addiction to Nicotine, But … : Despite the intense addiction, doctors say that the physical part of nicotine addiction is broken after people quit using tobacco for a week. It’s my solid belief that nicotine addiction comprises a scant 10 percent of smokeless tobacco dependency. Therefore, 90 percent of the battle to quit dipping is overcoming the emotional and mental components. So what does this mean for people like you who would like to quit? Quitting becomes much easier if you are able to: A. Deal with and eliminate the tension or anxiety that compels you to use smokeless tobacco B. Cancel the conditioned responses to chew in specific settings But how does a person conquer those issues? Self-hypnosis offers a way to address the emotional and psychological factors of the addiction while eliminating impediments, which will eliminate the symptoms of withdrawal. When we understand how self-hypnosis works, it makes the decision to quit dipping much easier to assume. When people dip for relaxation and pleasure, it’s to quiet feelings of stress. People often play the same images over in their minds, like a bad video, which leaves them feeling very stressed. Using self-hypnosis and various Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques, you retrain your brain to instantaneously and automatically stop stress-inducing images and replace them with soothing ideas and mental movies. This creates satisfaction and relaxation while eradicating cravings and oral compulsions. You shake the inclination to put the chew in your mouth, and you won’t get any desire to substitute food in its place. This controls weight gain. In order to resist the conditioned response of dipping smokeless tobacco, the NLP Flash technique erases the associations of dipping during certain activities or situations. This means your subconscious will no longer trigger the compulsion. Further, the Flash can even be used to create a compulsion to reject smokeless tobacco. Drawing on specific and strategic NLP methods makes the decision to stop chewing smokeless tobacco quite easy and painless by averting cravings, withdrawal and weight gain. The process is dependent on training the unconscious mind to adhere to the same thought patterns that produce your mental addiction to smokeless tobacco in the first place, to eliminate the habit. Your brain is a powerful tool—far more powerful than an addiction. With steadfastness and the aid of self-hypnosis and NLP, you can quit smokeless tobacco forever.
The Secret Of True Love
Have you ever asked yourself what is the Secret of True Love? Take This…. The ability to fetch a wonderful thought from the universe (just like you pluck a beautiful flower from the garden) and to care about it long enough and to pay it undivided attention such that whoever is the recipient of the thought (be it your partner, your child, your parents or your friend) immediately from that point on feels damn good even if he or she is miles away from you. This is the secret of True Love…..This is the way relationships grow and blossom into a full blown rose flower… Strength does not lie in licking a woman’s breast; even a stray dog can do that. Strength is always the power of a beautiful thought not the domination of the muscle. The strength of a muscle can break a dozen bones but it cannot travel beyond a certain distance. A glorious thought however can travel leap years ahead, beyond continents and beyond the realm of time and space. It can deliver messages at lightening speed and can rebuild a million lives and bring smile to humanity. It is that powerful. Attention to a caring or authentic thought is what is love .Every other thing is a stray dogs meal. So what are the qualities of a great relationship? The first and foremost is to FEEL DAMN GOOD ! If you don’t feel good reading this email, if you don’t feel good talking to someone, if you don’t feel good when someone walks into your house then there is a good chance that you really do not care about the relationship too much…. So feeling good is the highest attribute of a great relationship. Everything else is secondary. You have to learn the ability to fall in love with your thoughts…And then love in all forms be it money, relationships or health will come knocking at your doors. You can sitting in a remote corner of the world send out a wonderful and caring thought and the person at the other end can immediately feel damn good…. Thoughts are way too powerful it is just that you have not experienced its power, its strength. John once told me that that poverty is a state of mind being broke is only a passing phase. You don’t have to regret being broke He had experienced the downside of life… Hatred and animosity towards your partner is a state of mind facing big time problems in your relationships is a passing phase. You can turn the tables around very quickly… Feeling low and weak is a state of mind , current health problems is only a passing phase. You should not mistake the current circumstances to be your destiny. They are only a passing phase what is permanent is your thoughts, your state of mind. That is where you have to begin the work. If you pay too much attention to the current events surrounding you then you become a play tool of circumstances and events . You got to learn the fine art of holding on to fewer thoughts, of breaking focus of your day to day problems and caring about your thoughts…. Would you like to learn the fine art of sitting in a remote corner and sending a caring thought to your partner who is miles away from you and the moment you release this loving thought he or she feels damn good ? Would you like to learn that skill? Would you like to fetch a powerful thought, an idea, nourish it take care of it, give it legs feed it with strength and then send this loving thought to the universe and the universe in turn hands you cash…? A Million dollars or more. Would you like to experience this? You think all this is fun, philosophical bookish… Damn It ! They are all a piece of cake. All great things were backed up by blazing clarity of thoughts. Go back and re-read history and you will see that most of the millionaires and rich people were broke or average at a certain point of their life…. Ditto with Health…. There have been cases where cancer has been cured with the power of thoughts. This is no joke. I am not hear to have fun. I don’t enjoy writing ordinary mails. My mails reach the recipients heart faster than the Fedex guys…I am pretty serious with what I do. John would seem casual on occasions but he has a mighty heart, a reservoir of spiritual energy and so he can afford to play with certain things. Not you and me… The moment of truth has arrived…. Problem is the obstacle and Problem is the key. For Problems according to ancient scriptures is the guardian of knowledge. The supreme obstacle is the supreme door. You can chose with all your might to overcome problems and knock it down and even if you are successful you will find that a new wall has already been formed behind the existing one. It is a never ending game a totally futile action a, complete waste of energy. Would you like to continue doing this or would you like to open the secret door to experiencing true love , because love is money, love is relationships and love is great health… It is a piece of cake as clear as the blue sky you can see it with both eyes all you need is insight, a spark of curiosity , a collision with feeling if you will…. A murmur in the soul tells of a world to be…says the great John Harricharan . I am pretty sure there is no soul in this earth save a few who knows his real strength. He is a mighty warrior who can save a million souls he has got that strength. I have seen and experienced it. He is the real deal … The time to unlock his reservoir has finally arrived… You are damn lucky to be living in an age where John is physically alive. Go and re-read what I have written above and compare it to the best texts you have written and you will see that there is something in this mail which touches your deepest being, which bruises your ego, causes a rash in your body. Love and Affection Vish In studying books we are sometimes deluded into thinking that thereby we are being spiritually helped; but , if we analyse the effects of the study of books on ourselves, we shall find that at the utmost, it is only our intellect that derives profit from such studies, and not our inner spirit. This inadequacy of books to quicken spiritual growth is the reason why, although almost everyone of us can speak most wonderfully on spiritual life, we find ourselves so awfully deficient. To quicken the spirit, the impulse must come from another soul. Today is your chance to meet up with a gigantic spirit . Hold yourself no more. Mental Depression
Everyone goes through it at least once in their lifetime, and most people go through it more than that, perhaps on an average of at least once or twice a year. What am I talking about? Mental depression, of course. Although men are as likely to become depressed as women are, it’s unfortunate that the world in general perceives that it’s women who suffer most from depression. This could of course be due to a of lot things like constant mood swings and outright irritability to depressive chocolate-eating-binge-days when “that time of the month” comes around. Those are the days when you just want to curl up somewhere and quietly brood. However it is also true that a large percentage of people who suffer from depression aren’t only women, but includes hale and hearty men, along with people suffering from other illnesses. These illnesses could be life-threatening or even life-sapping, or they could be just such a constant in a person’s life that the weight of living with it day in and day out takes its toll and gives rise to mental depression. There are other reasons why mental depression could arise besides ill health, and these are many and varied. Some of them can include your lifestyle. So if you’re living at either extreme of lifestyle, you’re also a good candidate for mental depression. If you’re poor and don’t have two pennies to rub together stress can take its toll on you and leave you rolling in despair and mental depression. The same goes if you’re rich as well, you might not have the constant worry of not being able to fend for yourself, or not knowing where your next meal will come from, but stress will also play a great part in your life as well. Stress however, isn’t the only factor that can lead to mental depression, but it can be a leading factor. And even though you might not even realize it, stress comes in many shapes and forms, and most of the time they can all lead to you suffering from some form or other of mental depression. Peer pressure is a good example, as is pressure brought to bear from home and from work. Let’s not forget the pressures that we suffer when we set ourselves a goal and fail to meet the mark. Sometimes this kind of pressure can be the greatest of all, and can lead to a total breakdown on your part or a sink into the miasma that is mental depression. Depression is however, in and of itself, a normal reaction that most people suffer from without it leading to the more serious conditions of mental depression. This is where a person suffering from depression can’t bring themselves out of it. If life were full of sunshine everyday, then we wouldn’t really appreciate what we have. Everyone needs a little rain in their lives now and again just to help them see that the sunshine really is worth having.
ADD – Combating The Dreaded Clutter Monster
When you woke up this morning and went to your home office, did you see the same stack of newspapers on the floor that’s been there since 1992? Or, what about your desk? Do you remember if it’s mahogany or metal? If you’re asking these questions, you may have ADD, and are suffering the dreaded clutter monster. It’s not uncommon for people with ADD to have clutter in their lives. Though we really prefer things to be nice and neat, we don’t have the wherewithal to keep things that way. We hate to be bored, and so we procrastinate, sometimes for years. And we may be comfortable with our messes, but the people who have to live with us may not be so easy going. They let us know when it’s time to fix the mess. So, how does a person with ADD get started? Here’s an idea for you that is totally ADD-friendly: Get a big box and dump everything into it. Just gather it up and toss it into the box. Not too boring or time consuming, right? Just be sure to keep bills aside or anything that needs attention. You may want to get a basket and keep it somewhere that’s easy to get to when the mail comes. You can just toss bills in there as they come in, and then, pick a day each month when you’ll pay them. Pick a day to go through the box you’ve just filled with mess, too, and be sure it’s a day when you won’t be distracted and need to leave the house. This will be an all-day, job, but a painless one. So, get a timer and two banker’s boxes with lids from the office supply store, and a trash can. Then, set the timer for five minutes and start going through the stuff in the big box. Put trash in the trash, important papers into one banker’s box, and not-so-important-but-I-don’t-want-to-throw-away papers into another one. At the end of the five minutes, stop. Reset the timer for 55 minutes, and go and do whatever you want to do for that time. When the timer buzzes, then set it for 5 minutes again, and go back to the big box and start sorting. Unless the big box is the size of a small elephant, you should be done by the end of that day. After finishing, write a date on the not-so-important banker’s box and store it. If you don’t look inside after six months, then, throw it away. Keep the other banker’s box with important papers, like insurance policies or product warranties, in a cool, dry place where you can reach it easily. It’s not important that the papers inside are organized. They just have to be available for you to find them, if needed. Nothing in the world will stop your ADD from making clutter again. So, make this a monthly ritual. Pick up everything, and take a day to sort it. If you can do this, you’ll be happier, but imagine how happy your non-ADD family will be. You can do anything for 5 minutes at a time. Try it and see if this clutter-slaying process isn’t right for you.
